I don't know about you, but reliability, durabilty and battery life are the only things I need from a cell phone. iPhone's aren't actually great in any of these categories. What good are bells and whistles if I'm afraid to carry the thing around in my pocket with my keys? Also, who wants a phone they have to charge at lunch just to make it until the end of the day? If I want an iPod, I'll buy one. It'll have more memory and be way cheaper. On top of all that, I don't even use Cingular, so I don't expect to be buying one of these any time soon. Just wait for your local fanboy to blow his hard earned money, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to show it to you.

I don't think it's fair to say that it will make a big impact on the way we use cell phones. It may be fancy and cutting edge, but it's just a phone. Not to split hairs, but until we have technology that really changes the way we use cellphones, the iPhone is just a cell phone in a pretty package.
Two-way video calling, complete computer integration, better signal strength and transfer speeds: those would be revolutionary. This is just another toy to brag about at LAN parties.

We have not even seen the implementation and you are all out saying iphones will revolutionize !! Cummon .. lets wait for the release atleast. What does it have new ? touchpads , wifi .. all these were available for quite sometime. Yes iphones will sell .. because like ipods, they will be sound cool ! But to revolutionize, the price, the size all these will matter. $500 .. 2 years contract ... cingular .. all will stand in the way. It will be a nice addition to choices we have in the market .. but I dont agree that you that it will revolutionise. Friends... if you agree with me . vote for me ...
