only the way to save electricity is to use it properly and avoid waste of every milliwatt of it ...

there are many ways of saving energy ...
but only thing it should be implemented with in fraction of second after the permission is given from our mind

Shut off the things when not in use. Stop using computers for chatting, playing games, listening music with high power sound boosters or speakers. Some of the above mentioned are necessary, however they can be done happily at the less expense of electricity and probably results in an equal pleasure.
I stay in the hostel of IIT Bombay, here electricity never goes off, rightly so. But students are using it in very incorrect manner. They keep their computers on stand by when not in use instead of shutting it down, people here keep fans and sometimes tube lights on when they are not in the room. People use high power sound boosters and speaker, they watch movies on computers almost every night, consuming huge amount of electricity.

Sure, it's fun, we get to share our opinions. But we'd be doing a lot better in reducing greenhouse gas emissions if we stopped spending time on websites like this one, or YouTube, or Facebook, and spent more time outside. We'd probably be healthier too, and we wouldn't have 60% of the country being overweight.
