It doesn't matter what you think about the Bush administration, we need to support the troops who are on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan. These people are fighting and dying so that you can go on being free, and begging congress to cut off funding for their protection is wrong. Building a stable democracy in Iraq is vital for our national security, and we need to give these soldiers what they need to get the job done before we bring them home.

Disagreeing with bush and his foreign policy in no way undermines our military or those enlisted. In fact, without the simple concept of checks and balances, how are we to ever know if our military is being used appropriately? Let's not forget that dissent was the catalyst of our nation. I aim to protect our troops as well as the world, and I certainly doubt kowtowing to a failed business man cum failed heir is going to achieve this end.

Bush doesn't have a decent plan for the middle east. All of his macho posturing is just a cover up for the money his family and the rest of his cronies in the defense industry are making on this war. Congress is wise to cut spending and pressure Iraqi authorities to stand up and protect themselves. If you want to tell someone to support the troops, tell it to Bush. His administration has done more to hurt veterans than any other president in history.
